With this launch, we hope to serve our community even better, while promising to continuing to strive for that excellence which we would like to be associated with and are proud of. Ever since the release of our first version, our users and well wishers have commended us well for our efforts toward creating a useful resource for the community, it is our strong belief that you will all find the new version even more exciting.

Web 2.0 has brought about a phenomenal change towards how we interact with others on the internet, ushuring in a new era of social networks. It is our hope that our endeavors toward the new version of Mapmandu will engender the growth of a stronger community that will make Mapmandu the truly ultimate guide to city life in Kathmandu.

The Savant Team has introduced a cornucopia of new features to make Mapmandu more userfriendly and effective. First, being a community driven site, we have made it really easy for our users to participate. All you need to do is login through your Facebook account. Second, our list of businesses and destinations are nicely organized into categories based on neighborhoods and types, for an easy browsing experience. Our goal is to help you find what you need in the city very easily. Third, rating and reviewing a destination cannot have been made any more simpler. Every bit of your honest opinion counts. Higher rated destinations bubble up in our lists. So help that corner momo stall that you are really fond of to gather some visibility. Yes, we could go on and on, but we urge you to surf and discover for yourself the new Mapmandu.

On a global scheme of themes, every bit of visibility that you can garner towards your efforts count a lot. Nepal in general, and Kathmandu in particular, is still very much that eclectic collection of those "Mom and Pop" stores. It is these destinations that help to keep the city more exciting, with a discovery to be made at every nook and corner of the back alleys of the city. It is our hope that Mapmandu becomes a freely available platform for all these destinations to make their presense felt on the web.
