From the street this store looks like any other of Thamel’s many Thangka shops, but go up the stairs in the back and you will quickly realise your mistake. Lavish tibetan rugs, and fabric make up a beautiful decor, yet it is the sheer amount of Thangkas that strikes the eye. Thangkas of all prices and types are everywhere that you look inside this colorful and peaceful gallery. The store also prides itself on only presenting pieces that have followed the genuine spiritual laws and meditation required to make thangkas the Tibetan Buddhist way.
