The school was established 25 years ago as a joint venture effort of Government of Nepal and the Government of the United kingdom (UK). It owns about 600 ropanis of land (1 ropanis=5476 sq, feet) of which 300 ropanis is currently utilized. It has all the physical facilities of a first grade residential school (playgrounds swimming pool and residential hostels for students and living quarters for the staff). It also has a good library, a modern science lab and a computer center with a number of person computers. Currently it has 771 students of which 172 are girls.
